One of our best sales months and the end of our physical year.
Thanks to this new website and all our friends that investigated us through it, June was a record setting month for
incoming RFQ's. We are very thankful that so many of you trusted us enough to let us look at your future work.
The volume of RFQ's we received was greater than our immediate ability to process so we must apologize to those
of you who had to wait longer than expected for a response from us. We have already taken steps to correct the
situation and we will return to our quick turn around of your RFQ's in the very near future. As our new process
takes effect and the people on the team settle into their new roles we believe you will get the timely responses you
deserve. We are committed to becoming your Powdered Metal supplier of choice. Thanks for allowing us to serve
you. Our goal is to always be worthy of your trust!

Improvements made in our Quality Systems that increase capability and effectiveness.
We have made some great improvements in our Quality Systems during the month of May. We upgraded the
CMM software to the latest and greatest, we installed and trained on new software to compute CP & CPK data,
and we added a person to the group to better handle the increasing work load. We also added another set-up
and maintenance person in our press room. The RFQ's continue to come in and new work is developing at a rate
that is challenging but manageable. We have restructured our quoting procedure to handle the increased flow
and still respond to everything that comes our way in a timely manner. We're here to serve you!

This website is launched and we're already seeing results.
With a lot of cooperation from many people, and some trial and error, we were successful in getting this website to
more closely reflect what our company is all about. We have had many bits of advice from a number of different
sources - for which we are thankful! Our hope is that everyone who visits our site will get the details of what we
can do but also will feel welcomed and like they're dealing with neighbors. We have already begun to receive
RFQ's from companies who have visited, THANKS!! In our shrinking world we want to be known as a company that
cares and treats others with respect and openness. We hope this site gives you that message. If you would like to

ISO/TS 16949:2002 surveillance audit completed successfully!!
After careful scrutiny by our NSF auditor, we passed with flying colors. No findings were reported but we did
receive numerous helpful suggestions by going through the process. As with any growing company there are
always things that can be done to improve the systems. This surveillance audit assures us that the basic
foundation is in place as we go forward.

Sales Manager comes on board to spearhead the marketing and sales effort.
With the merger adjustments made and the new approach to the marketplace, CSMP was ready for someone to
give more time to the sales and marketing of our Powdered Metal capabilities. A former buyer for one of our
major customers, who had bought parts from us for several years, was available and appears to be a right fit. With
years of experience in sales as well as purchasing in the automotive industry, Paul Metzger is now part of the team
at CSMP and ready to help us grow to the next level. With 5 years experience as Director of Customer Service for
a large corporation, we expect Paul to continue our commitment to putting our customer’s needs first.

We start the New Year with some office renovations.
While our office space has served us well over the years, we felt it was time for a little face lift. So the next time
you visit us you will find fresh paint and several other changes that make the space more comfortable to work in
and more warm and welcoming for our guests. We have started a process that will take a few months to complete
but is well worth the time and effort. Hope you like it on your next visit.

Sintered Metal Products, Inc. merges with Coldwater Products, Inc. to form new company – Coldwater
Sintered Metal Products, Inc.
Sister companies for many years, the opportunity came to merge and by so doing we have gained efficiencies and
reduced costs in ways that will ultimately benefit our customers. The merger did not affect personnel or facility but
did reduce the management staff and streamline operations in many ways. We anticipate only good things from
this new approach to the marketplace.

Sintered Metal Products, Inc. awarded ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification
With the advantage of having a solid quality system already at work and the right people already in place this
milestone in our development was a confirmation that the foundation for the health and growth of our company is
solidly in place. Congratulations to all who worked hard to achieve this certification.
